MindSpring Acquires WebBullet Internet Subscribers

ATLANTA, GA (January 27, 1998) MindSpring Enterprises, Inc. today announced
that it has reached an agreement with Mountain View, California-based Mpath
Interactive, Inc. to acquire the dial-up Internet subscribers of Mpath's
WebBullet Internet Service. Transitioning WebBullet subscribers may select
from MindSpring's four Internet service plans, will receive MindSpring's
User Kit, and will have full access to MindSpring's Internet services and
renowned technical support.

said MindSpring President Mike McQuary. "WebBullet's members are Internet

we can meet their expectations."

Brian Apgar, chief operating officer for Mpath, explained the benefits of
the agreement for Mpath's WebBullet customers. "MindSpring has great

Internet. In addition, MindSpring has been recognized throughout the
industry for outstanding customer service," said Apgar. "MindSpring will
provide a good home for our customers - games fans who use the Internet to
play fast games." Mpath has been offering the WebBullet Internet service
for members of its online games service since December 1996.
