MindSpring Hosts Alabama Family Reunion In Birmingham

ATLANTA (March 24, 1998) -MindSpring Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM: MSPG)
will host its second annual MindSpring Alabama Family Reunion at Birmingham
Museum of Art on Saturday, April 4 from 5 to 8 p.m.

"We have a strong and supportive sense of community among our customers,"
said Charles Brewer, MindSpring's founder and chief executive officer. "Our
Family Reunions are a great way for us to foster our community spirit and
say 'thank you' at the same time. Besides, it's great to be able to match
faces with names."

Events for the evening will include door prize drawings, and presentations
by event sponsors and the MindSpring staff. Several galleries of the Museum
will also be available for guests to visit.

Sponsors of the event include Blackstone and Cullen, 3Com, Powertel, Wolf
Camera, Unistar Computers and Microsoft. Blackstone and Cullen will give a
strategic overview of entrepreneurial opportunities involving the Internet.
Microsoft will demonstrate how to browse the Web using Internet Explorer
4.01 and how to publish your own Web page with Microsoft Publisher.

MindSpring's product development team will demonstrate MindSpring's latest
Internet software suite and the technical support staff will give technical
tips and assistance.

The cover charge of $5 for adults over 12 includes beverages, light hors
d'oeuvres, and all events. MindSpring subscribers may register for the
event online in advance at
<http://www.mindspring.com/citypages/tellmebirm.html> to take advantage of
express entry into the Reunion. The Birmingham Museum of Art is located at
2000 Eighth Avenue North in Birmingham.

"We met our Alabama family in Montgomery last spring and had members show
up from all over the state," continued Brewer. "Our membership, like the
Internet itself, is made up of a wonderfully diverse group of people. It's
great fun to bring us all together for one evening."

MindSpring will host family reunions in several other cities this year,
including Raleigh/Durham, NC; Greenville, SC, West Point, GA, and Atlanta.
