When the youth is about eleven you tell him about the omen of his birth and about the prophesy. Shortly afterwards the barbarians raid your village and all of the villagers are carried off into captivity. The barbarian chief takes a fancy to the youth and adopts him as his son. The youth adapts very well to barbarian ways; when the chief dies the young man becomes the new chief.

He tells the tribe of the omen of his birth; you are given an honored position as his seeress who has first foreseen his coming greatness. The barbarian tribes are superstitious; they are greatly impressed with the omen. He manages to unite all of the tribes under his leadership. The empire is fat, happy, and lazy. Under his leadership he makes a series of lightning quick forays into the Empire. You are in his train in a position of high honor as he invests the Imperial Capital. It falls. The old dynasty is extinguished and the barbarians take over the Empire.
