It is early in the Age of the North Wind. You are reborn as an apothecary in the Imperial City. You make medicines for people who are ailing. Your father and his father before him were honest in their trade and in their representations of what they could cure and not cure. You were raised to be honest also. Alas, for an apothecary to be honest is for him to be poor. People will pay much for lying promises and little for truth.

There is a woman, the daughter of a great merchant, whom you are enamoured of. She favors you but her father will not let the pair of you wed unless you are wealthier. You could gain more money by selling fraudulent cures. There is no great harm in it; other apothecaries do it and people are happier with false hope than with none. If you do not, you will not win the woman you love. Do you choose love or honor?

Choose love.
Choose honor.
