You choose the Imperial Prince. He is a very satisfactory husband. Even though he is far down in the line of succession, he has much power - many do his bidding on the chance that he may someday gain the throne. You think it most unlikely that he will; however one of the older sons is executed for treason, and another dies in a drunken brawl. All of a sudden there is but one head between your husband and the throne. The heir is a boastful incompetent who spends his days pursuing his vices. Your husband would be a much better Emperor. You could plot to get the heir eliminated; that would be a real service to the Empire. If your husband were Emperor he could restore the Empire. Such a plot would be dangerous; you might lose all in the effort to win all. What will you do?
