K-9 Ajo is the fourth K-9 to work with the Orange Police Department. K-9 Chipper was handled by Sgt. John Bartus and Officer Bill Golding; and the remaining three K-9s; Champ, Xalk, and Ajo, have all been handled by Officer Clay Rushford.
Ajo came to the Orange Police from a trainer in the southern part of the country, originally coming from former eastern European Republic of Czechoslovakia
