~~January 29, 2000 (Saturday)~~: ..........Let's Gather to Plan our Rides for the year 2000 ...and eat!
..........One thing's for sure. When we have a pot-luck supper, we never have a shortage of food!
~~February 12, 2000~~:..........Massachusetts State Meeting
...A chance for chapter officers from around the state to gather and share ride ideas, schedules, and opinions on Red Knight Issues. Members from mass Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 8 got a chance to hash over some business and some ride ideas including the upcoming Cape Cod Weekend.

~~February 25-27, 2000~~: ..........Ontario - 7 Winter Frolic!

~~March 26, 2000~~:.............Train ride into Boston
..........Let's see... Fifteen members ventured east on the train to Mother Anna's and all the vendors at Quincy Market to satisfy our taste buds. We also spent several hours at the Boston Museum of Science. It was a great day, sunshine, blue skies, warm weather, and wonderful friends. Plan to join us next year.
~~April 8, 2000~~:..........Annual Dinner Meeting
..........The weather and the winds made for an interesting afternoon as most of our members were off fighting brush fires in and around north-central Massachusetts. But there were still enough in attendance to enjoy the pot-luck!
~~April 22, 2000~~:..........Thanks to those members who helped us prep and mail the International Newsletter to all our members.
~~May 5-7, 2000~~: ..........RKMC New England Regional Dutch-treat weekend on Cape Cod
...What a great weekend. Mother Nature was sure good to us. Beautiful weather all through the weekend... on the mainland and on the island. And the best part is always the fun we ahve with our friends.
~~May 21, 2000~~:..........Ride to Wrights Chicken Farm
..........We didn't actually make it to Wrights Chicken Farm (they were booked tight on reservations) but we did meet up with Mass-4 and had a nice ride and dinner (still in Rhode Island) despite the drizzle and rain.
~~June 5-10, 2000~~: ..........Americade 2000 in Lake George, NY
...Lot's of fun, dealers, motorcycles, and friends. Over 300 Red Knights members and friends met at the Lake George F.D. on Thursday evening. The RKMC has taken the largest contingent in the Saturday parade for the past three years!
~~June 25, 2000~~:..........Ride to the Bridge of Flowers, the Mohawk Trail, and to Bubb's BBQ for some great culinary cuisine!
~~July 13, 2000~~: Ed and Steve had a send off in style for the Fallen Firefighters Memorial Tour from two dozen bikes representing Red Knights chapters from throughout Massachusetts, the Blue Knights, the local Harley Owners Group, GWRRA Members, and a contingent of firefighters from the Westminster Fire Department all wishing them well as Ed and Steve headed off to Maine for the night with their first "corner" planned for Saturday morning. The entire group rode with the duo for the first few miles with a news crew from Boston's Channel 5 in tow.
~~July 14-16, 2000~~:.......... Annual Weekend Trip to Wells, Maine
..........Marty & Cliff are always fantastic hosts! Pictures from past Maine visits.Had some great weather on Friday and Saturday and a good time all weekend. Thanks Marty and Cliff!
~~July 30, 2000~~: ..........V.P.'s Breakfast Ride
..........Held a brief meeting to vote in a couple of new members and share info on Ed and Steve's trip. Then off to breakfast at the Monadnock View Restaraunt in Troy, NH. Had a nice ride through the morning with 11 bikes and 13 riders. Everyone just about had enough time to get home before the rain started!

August 17-20, 2000 at the Brickyard Resort Hotel at the Indianapolis Speedway
...and a great time was had by all! Thanks go out to Indiana-1, for being such great hosts.
~~August 20, 2000~~:..........Ride for Kids
..........A great day fo a ride and a wonderful experience. 400 bikes made the trip from Oxford to Amherst. Our bikes encircled the Amherst Common when we arrived, escorted by the State Police. The New England Ride for Kids raised $101,000 for Pediatric Brain Tumor Research! Come join us next year on August 19, 2001. Starting point is the Walmart on Route 12 in North Oxford.
~~September 9, 2000~~:..........Pot-Luck BBQ at Bob and Diona's
..........It was a little cooler this year than last year's 96 degrees. As always a good time when we get together (and eat).
~~September 24, 2000~~: .............CHAPTER POKER RUN
...Mother nature didn't cooperate completely this year... rain, clouds, drizzle... oh well. We still had about thirty riders and had a good time! Take a look at some pictures.
~~October 8, 2000~~: .............Apple Pie Ride -- Dummerston, Vermont
...brrrrrr. It was a balmy 33 degrees early in the morning and warmed up to the Mid-40's during the day. But the Apple Pie was good as was the hot coffee and baked beans!
~~November 14, 2000~~: .............Polar Bear Ride
..........A nice sunny fall day gave us the opportunity for a brief ride around central Massachusetts with lunch at teh Kozy Kabin in Barre.
December 4, 2000: .............Pot-luck Party & Yankee Gift Swap
.......... About 20 members joined the crowd and the fun having a great time with food and lots of stories!

ICE CREAM RIDES!

Every Tuesday during June, July, and August a group of Bikes meets at Dick and Elaine's in Ayer at 6:00 p.m. And off they go to a different ice cream place every week. Come join them for a fun evening out.
On the second Thursday during the months of May, June, July, and August we'll be meeting at the Westminster Fire Station at 6:30 p.m. for the same thing. Let's investigate how many ice cream shops there are in Central Massachusetts! That's May 11, June 8, July 13, and August 10.
What a great idea for those hot summer evenings!

The New England Regional Rally of the GWRR
will be July 20-23 at the Royal plaza/Best Western Trade Plaza in Fitchburg (Route 31)

Shriner’s Motorcycle Poker Run
The Aleppo Temple Shriner’s Motorcycle Drill and Parade Unit will be holding a Poker Run
on Saturday, July 29 beginning at the Aleppo Building on Fordahm Road in Wilmington, Mass.
Cost is $10 per person with registration from 9-11:00.
All proceeds go towards the Shriners transportation fund.
