Spike R. MacPhee's HomeWorld(s)
[Many links still have to be updated.] I am updating these pages again as of Dec 25, 2002 - 12/29/02 the first update was posting Russell Martin's Man-Kzin timeline version 2. Next
projex are rescanning in the LunaEarth SF Art Gallery images, and collecting all the current moonbase, lunar colonization, and moon/luna related pages on the EarthWeb.
The Moon In Science Fiction is
a quick start on Lunar fiction. LunaWeb does not [yet] exist...
Welcome to the online homestation of Spike R. MacPhee, spiker#tiac.net[you'll have to change this and paste it to email me - an antispam precaution], a place of learning,
commerce and diplomacy for humans and aliens alike... <*>
Here's a view of my HomeWorld(s), the

... And here's how the human race journeyed to Luna
the first
time - the Apollo 8 TransLunar Injection burn,
TLI
One
.
The humans' moonship Apollo 8, 185 kms above the Hawai'ian
Islands,
lighting its third stage engine, bound for Luna,
Dec 21st,
1968, from a painting
I commissioned from
Rick
Sternbach in 1974.
Here's a 125% enlargement from the final
version, showing the nightlights of the Hawai'ian Islands and the S-IVB third
stage engine exhaust gases lit by the sun. Apollo 8 is the tiny point of light
at the tip of the white thousand-mile long triangular exhaust cone.

- I freelance for DPResearch Co -
doing game 3D modelling & rendering, game documentation, and game design.on
the following DRPC games.
- I also work[ed] for One World Network. I created an SF website
called SF LunaEarth Links - a linklist guide to Science Fiction authors,
artists, stores, clubs, conventions, and publishers, as well as comic artists.
I created and maintained free web pages and sites for creators hosted at OWN as
well as doing paid webpages for other humans. [The OWN offer has expired along
with OWN. Ps: Don't send me email asking how to recontact them - I don't know
where OWN went either.]

- I do 3-D Titles for people's web pages. See the "LunaEarth" on
this page and my samples directory.
- One of the sets of pages I created is my SF Art Gallery,
which will have images from my personal collection of works by Rick Sternbach, Don
Davis, Wendy & Richard Pini, Hannah Shapero, D. Cameron Calkins, Cortney
Skinner, and George Richard. It also will have the John Schoenherr published SF art Checklist.
[IMAGES NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL I RESCAN THEM]
- My next personal project is creating "The Way To Spike's house,
Freehold", a homage to the films "Boy In a Rowboat" and "Powers
of Ten", starting with the Hercules galactic supercluster, and zooming in.
- I'm a "hard science" sf fan and chart future histories or
futories as they unfold in author's published works. Here are my contributions
to the Known Space future history. "Futory" is pronounced "fewchory"
and is a contraction of "future history".
- Larry Niven's Known Space Man-Kzin Wars -
Story listings for the Niven-edited Man-Kzin Wars shared-universe anthologies.
- Larry Niven's Known
Space Timeline - Timelines for Known Space and the Niven-edited Man-Kzin
Wars shared-universe anthologies.
- Spike's
biography - a short summary, still being added to, but I'm too busy
living to write about living.
- The first installment of an occasional column called UnderAppreciRated
SF Authors I do on underrated and underappreciated science-fiction
authors. John M. Ford
is the subject this time.
- A work in progress called SF Top Ten Lists.
"How to make up your topten author/book list(s) when you can't narrow the
choices down to fewer than fifty titles/writers even with a lasgun pointed at
your brain casing."
