Bordeaux Wines    Apr. 12 , 2003

The Gironde River divides the Bordeaux region into Left Bank and Right Bank. The left has gravelly soil, and Cabernet Sauvignon dominates. The Right is clay, and Merlot dominates. Bordeaux is a blend of these.
